The main purpose of a loose cotton wheel is to polish and cut in a similar manner to the Spiral sewn wheel, except that this wheel, not being tightly stitched together, will 'mush' or collapse, allowing the cotton to get into awkward places more easily. If you have an object with fine details and awkward crevices, then this is the wheel to use.
Because you will be unable to exert pressure which slows down other harder wheels, you should consider putting LARGER loose cotton wheels on your buffer. This will increase the surface speed, improving the overall finish and the time involved.
These buffs are now AUSTRALIAN MADE, and now have 50 layers of CALICO/COTTON cloth [ previously only 40] giving you better value for your dollar.
Please be carefull chosing the wheel size, as we now have 3" wheels to suit small bench polishing machines.
4" wheels are best suited for use on a drill with the arbour adaptor.
Now available with either a Hard Centre for a Spiral Shaft, or a 1/2" hole to suit a 1/2" mandril. Please select option carefully when chosing wheel size.
Use with any compound.
