Anodizing Sealant, AUSEAL MTS
Part Number: AUSEALMTS
INTRODUCTION
Auseal MTS is a nickel based sealing process which allows sealing of the anodic film on aluminium and its alloys to be carried out at temperatures of 80 deg C or more.
Unlike previously supplied sealant, this sealant is supplied in liquid form.
AUSEALMTS IS NOT COMPATABLE WITH THE CRYSTAL FORM OF CASWELL SEALER WHICH IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE
The quality of the seal produced passes the recognized weight loss test ISO 3210, admittance ISO 2931 & dye spot ISO 2143.
SIZE
The bottle supplied contains 1 litre of liquid sealer. We do not expect it ALL to be used in one container, unless you have larger containers than supplied by Caswell Australia.
480gm will make 16L of Anodizing Sealant. It is measured by Weight and not by Volume.

The AUSEAL MTS solution is a non-dump solution provided an efficient filtration system is installed. A filter size of 5 microns is suggested.
EQUIPMENT
Tanks and fittings can be made from 316 stainless steel, or use the HDPE buckets as supplied with Caswell Australia's AN1 Anodizing Kit
COMMENTS
Avoidance of drag-in from ‘dirty’ rinses will reduce any possibility of bloom and or sealing problems.
Therefore, rinsing in clean water before sealing in Auseal MTS will prolong the life and reduce the filtering required in the tank. Rinsing in clean water after sealing is also recommended.
